J and G left early yesterday morning. It was a really nice visit, full of great food and games (Shout About Movies and Rummikub). Saturday evening, we had dinner at Podhalanka, a Polish restaurant with tasty cabbage rolls, potato pancakes and pierogies. The food compensated for the decor, which consisted of tables covered in plastic table cloths with plastic Christmas placemats. It was one of those places that looked so bad, you just knew the food would be spectacular.
JR says that I need to explain the Gibbles that I mentioned in my 8-11-06 post. If you haven't heard of Gibbles, they are a special cheesy poof that used to be available in Pittsburgh. Now, J special orders them over the phone and every now and again we a bag is bestowed upon us like a small miracle of cheesy goodness. We haven't opened our bag yet. It's pretty safe to say that it will not last more than one evening once it's opened, as JR and I will consume as many as humanly possible in order to ensure that we each get our "fair share".
JR and I also took the bus to Target, which is starting to become an expensive habit. Anyway, I picked up some very cute Nick & Nora sock monkey sheets, that look like:

They are freshly laundered, so I may put them on the bed tonight, even though it's not time for new sheets. I suppose I should be greatful that it doesn't take much to make me happy :) If you find yourself green with envy, you can pick up your own set at Target. They come in several patterns including clouds, cowboys, desserts and a few others.
DAILY SUGGESTION
Visit people.com to see "Before They Were Stars" photos. Trust me, some of these are just as disturbing as the yawning bunnies.
WHAT'S NEW
I've added a mini-review of The Ron Clark Story in the watching section. Also, I've added a link to the online conversion site in the side bar of this page. Everytime I think I'm going to remove it from my bookmarks, I need to use it again.
