AND THE GOOD NEWS IS

MK and BK are having another baby! Their daughter EK is the cutest, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the newest edition turns out.

TODAY

Today is the first day of the last year that JR goes to school. It's a little bittersweet for him. If you'd like to send him some well wishes, click here.

YESTERDAY

Last night I watched the second season premier of Prison Break. I was pretty impressed with the episode; it looks like it will be another exciting season.

JR and I took a walk, to see more of the neighborhood. We've gotten in the habit of walking south to Roscoe Street, so we're pretty familiar with that stretch. Last night, we headed north and found that there are lots of antique stores and some nice looking restaurants. JR is excited about a pub we saw that has a wooden door with a cut-out of a bear next to it. I'll be sure to bring my camera when we go there, so that you can experience the magic, too.

After googlechatting w/ JK yesterday, I'm pretty revved for fall. I love fall for many reasons: cooler weather, pretty leaves, Halloween and apples. In the past few years, I've become an apple fanatic. I have an apple almost every day with my lunch. But I'm not your run-of-the-mill apple fanatic; I'm an apple snob. My favorite apples are Honey Crisps and Pink Ladies. These apples are hard to find and expensive, but they are worth it. They both have superior crunch and a mouthwatering blend of sweet and tart flavors.

Last year, I had the pleasure of apple picking at the Jonamac Orchard with some of JR's classmates. We picked, ate, found our way through the corn maze and rode in the apple train (you can see a photo of the apple train in the montage on the front page). It was quite an adventure and it was not until I managed to lug two big bags of apples and a gallon of apple cider home that JR informed me that he doesn't drink apple cider. Oh well, more cider for me :)

DAILY SUGGESTION

See the movie Little Miss Sunshine.

Last year of school? It can't be! There's got to be something else he can go back for. Maybe something in agriculture? How about theater? ;) Good luck Buzz.

Fall is absolutely the best time of year. I associate all of my good/happy memories with fall sensations. Cool crisp air, changing of the leaves, etc... Even my favorite music draws me back to these sensory memories. Plus fall means the return of OSU football (not that I'm a huge fan or anything...).

Congrats JR. One more year and the Bar. But something M just said strikes me as something you would think about! Though I struggle picturing you actually milking a cow?

People! It is not ok to plant ideas in his head. (Sorry, couldn't resist the pun)
