8-20-06

I've been surfing the net trying to find the perfect baptism gift for our neice, V. The pressure is really on now that we're the Godparents; the gift needs to be perfect. In the meantime, I stumbled on this site, where you can read about the largest collection of nun dolls in the world. Now, I'm trying to decide if I should start my own collection of nun dolls. They're just so cute. Can't you picture them with little rulers in their hands smacking the other dolls on their knuckles?

Last night, we broke into the pierogies that J brought us. They were tasty. I hate to be smug, but ya'll missed out. I also caught up on some episodes of Monk and Without a Trace that were stored on the DVR. You can read my thoughts in the watching page. I'm not sure if the DVR is a of the good side or the bad side of the force. I'm not sure I really care. If I didn't think I'd get electrocuted, I might make out with it, so strong is my affection.

I promised to updated you about the results of my 8-15-06 daily suggestion. I sent an email to my Aunt P, who lives in South Carolina. She replied back with a long email describing all the goings-on of her family. She has a big family, so there are a lot of goings-on. In fact, Aunt P has 10 great-grandkids! You would never guess if you passed her on the street. Last year, Aunt P (who is my mom's sister), my mom and I spent a week in Arizona. It was a wonderful trip that involved a lot of sweating, a trip to the Grand Canyon and two huge pieces of chocolate cake. If you ever happen to be in Arizona, I recommend that you take a trip to Jerome, a little artist town near Sonoma and stop at the Haunted Hamburger for some cake.
