My Dad now has a blog! You can visit him on the web here to find out what he's up to and to see some cute photos of my nephew, HK. Hopefully, Dad'll share some of his stories about growing up in the south. Trust me, he's got some good ones.
YESTERDAY
Last night was the first meeting of the Chick Flick Movie Club. We saw the movie Trust the Man, which didn't really impress me, but it was a fun evening. There were seven other ladies (why isn't there a female equivalent for "guys"?) there and we were all quite diverse in terms of personality. After the movie, we had drinks at PJ Clarks and spent an hour or so talking. It's going to be interesting to see how the group evolves, and whether any of these acquaintances evolve into friendships.

Before the meeting, I had some time to kill, so I did a little window shopping at Nordstrom. It was pretty tough to refrain from buying anything, but I'm doing my best to be a reformed shopaholic after last week's Delia's splurge. I think that my next purchase might need to be a short sleeve jacket. There were quite a few at Nordstrom, and I think I can pull off that look. The only bad thing about wearing jackets is that my hair is long enough again that it gets underneath the collar and I spend the entire day pulling it back out. I think that I might have to institute a jacket = ponytail policy.
