Plans for the upcoming move are rolling along. Last night we made a list of all of the apartments that we plan to check out. Most are located in the Gahanna/New Albany/Little Turtle area. We have different expectations for how many we can visit in a day. I think we can probably see 3-4 a day, but JR is confident that we can see 6 a day. I guess we'll see how it goes. Overall, we're pretty pleased with the amount of 3 bedroom or 2 bedroom w/ extra room apartments that we were able to find in our price range. I had to laugh every time we saw the security deposit. $150-$300! Here in Chicago, unless you're in a large building, the security deposit is 1 1/2 x the rent. Since the rent is also incredibly high, you almost need to sell a kidney to raise the money.
I hope everyone had a nice, or at least tolerable, Valentine's Day. JR had practice and work, so I went to dinner and a movie with KD and some of her coworkers, which was a fun time. We saw the movie Music & Lyrics, which while not incredible original was definitely enjoyable. Tonight, JR and I are going to see a play called The Sparrow, which has been receiving all kinds of positive comments. The only question remains is, do we have dinner at the Pierogi Factory, or stick to YOU: On a Diet tonight?

I think you can do 6 in a day. If you know what you are looking for, and keep the especially chatty sales people on topic, you'll be fine. If you have too many places to visit, another thing you could do is call and see if they will have units available when you want to move in. Most places here know 60 days in advance.
Yeah - those Chicago security deposits are a back-breaker. In fact, I'd point to them as being one of the biggest barriers to my moving since they helped drive the cost of moving through the roof. I'm pretty satisfied with the way things have turned out so far, though.
My Valentines day was a non-event, but a local "gentleman's club" that I pass on my way to the gym was having an anti-Valentines day party. I found that particularly humorous for some reason.
Finally, if you've been good with the diet, treat yourself to a night out. If it's been sketchy, stick to the diet - you'll feel better tomorrow. Either way, have fun!
