I tend to go through phases of wanting to own a dog. And since dog-ownership doesn't go in phases (it's pretty permanent once you've got one), I haven't made the committment. That, and the fact that it's near impossible in Chicago to find an apartment that will allow tenants to own dogs. So, I've mostly put it out of my mind, but the recent commercial for the Westminster Dog Show stirred up those old feelings. Something about those little Bichon Frises floating through the air broke my heart a little. If you haven't seen the commerical, you can watch it on the Westinster site - they appear near the end.
P.S. Still, I think if I ever break down, I'll get a Sheltie.
