Happy Birthday Dear JK!

Today is JK's birthday! He is taking the day off, so as of publication time, he hasn't written a birthday post for his blog. However, he has completed a successful birthday lunch of Mexican food, so it seems like he's having a good day so far.

The other good news is that Lost is back on tonight, with all new episodes until the end of the season. I can't say that I've been loving this season so far, but they have introduced some great new characters, so if the plot can rise to the occasion, it might be magic again.

My evenings have been pretty busy. I've been coming home in the evening and exercising. So far this week I've done the yoga/pilates dvd a couple of times, but I think tonight I might switch to the cardio interval tonight so that I can get some light weightlifting and some cardio. Once I finish my workout I eat dinner and then cook the next evening's dinner. Because JR stays late at school M-W, I have to have his dinner ready to pack in the morning. It's a little strange to do it that way, but it makes it easier to fit in the evening workout, because I'm not trying to exercise and cook before I eat dinner. By the time I've cleaned up all of the dishes, I'm ready for a little television and then it's off to bed. I lead a life of excitement, huh?

I read a tip from someone today who said that Netflix offers workout videos online. Turns out Blockbuster.com does too, so I think I might try some others to mix up the routine a little. I've heard a lot of people recommend Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds, so I've added that to my queue. The YOU: On a Diet program insists on 30 minutes of walking a day, but that's just not going to happen when it's this cold. When the arctic tundra blasts die down, we plan to start walking to the Paulina brown line stop, which will give us about 15 minutes of walking each way.

P.S. Thanks for all of the encouragement! JR was down another pound this morning so things are still going well.
