We got some bad news on Saturday. Our landlord is not going to let us extend our lease through May, because she feels that May is the ideal time to find new renters. She said that if no one rented it, we could stay another month. She thought she would know by April 1st. But, that would be a big risk on our part because if at any time, someone wanted to rent it, we're sure she would give us the boot.
So, we are on to Plan B, which involves moving our things to Columbus at the end on April and hopefully subletting for a month from a friend. If that falls through, I'm not sure exactly what we'll do. It's possible that we could find some other subletting situation, although I'm concerned that it won't be as ideal as subletting from our friend.
JR has class through the first week of May, plus a take-home final due and graduation preparation, so we think that we need to stay here at least until graduation.
