It's the Hap-Hap-Happiest Time of the Year

February and March are particularly good months here at work. I have holidays on 2/12 (Lincoln's Birthday), 2/19 (President's Day) and 3/5 (Casimir Pulaski Day). This year is especially good, because I'm taking vacation days on 3/9 and 3/12 for my trip to NYC.

So, I enjoyed a nice long weekend. I caught up on a little housework (I'm still behind, though!), organized my bookshelf (found more books to list on paperbackswap!) and watched Lawrence of Arabia (I'm also a week behind on my movie watching - hope to squeeze in Pulp Fiction or Schindler's List later this week).

Sorry - it looks like this is going to be the post of many parentheses (Or parenthesis? Can't remember which is plural.) I also got a bit of reading done and hope to get caught up on my book reviews later in the week.

JR and I are on week 2 of YOU: On a Diet. So far, so good. We both had our scheduled "cheat days" (not part of the official plan, but deemed necessary by me) and lost a little ground (as expected) but are still down overall. This week will be challenging for me as I'm grabbing dinner out tonight before catching a screening of Breach and will be going out for pizza (gasp!) Wednesday night with some friends.
