The Ball is Rolling

We had a highly productive weekend in C-Bus. After arriving late on Thursday, we got up early on Friday to start the apartment search. We saw eight apartment complexes and found lots of great options. Saturday morning, we saw one more and then made our choice. If all goes well, we'll be living in the Villages at New Albany Park. They offer a three bedroom town house with a two car garage. We can't wait to move in!

I've also officially started my job search. It used to be that you could cruise through the paper, find some ads, print off your resume and send it on its way. Now, every company has a career section on its website, and you have to manually enter all of your information. It's very time consuming. My goal is to cast a wide net and see what turns up. I also visited monster.com, which almost drove me postal with the number of ads displayed. Plus, they track how many people have looked at/saved your resume. I know that this information will be helpful at some point; if a lot of people are looking and not saving, the resume obviously needs revision. But, at this point it's just making me paranoid. 5. 5 is the number of people who have looked at, but not saved my resume. This is only day two of my job searching and I'm already paranoid! Anyway, I think I'm going to register at a few more sites, then leave it alone and focus on packing. I can start searching more intensively after the move.
