If I Could Have One

I have an allergy to cats. It's not as bad as my mom's; she can hardly spend more than 5 minutes with a cat before she's in a serious health crisis. Basically, the allergist said that I can be exposed to cats, but I can't really own one of my own.

Which is really too bad, because I've decided that I would really like to own this cat, an exotic short hair. He is a crossbreed between a Persian cat and an American short hair cat. He has the cutest flat face.

Of course, he reminds me of Whitney, LP and JP's Persian who passed away a few years ago. She was always my favorite of their cats, despite the fact that she was utterly indifferent to me. The closest to any type of affectionate interaction I received was when I would hold me finger up to her face and she would lick it and then rub her face against it. I was nothing more than a human wash cloth to her, but I would do it any chance I got.

So, as much as I'd love a cat, it is not meant to be. Maybe I'll start making one of those scrapbooks like some little kids have, which pictures of everything they want pasted inside. I'll paste my cat picture inside.
