PIES

JR and I have been making some lists to prepare for our Thanksgiving feast. Last year, it was just the two of us, and we still had the full spread. JR feels pretty strongly about Thanksgiving.

In the course of our planning, I pointed out that we could get a pie from Baker's Square this year, since we have a car and can pick it up. JR then started listing the pies we would need: apple, pumpkin and strawberry rhubarb. I pointed out that there are only going to be four of us at dinner and wrote on my list "ONE PIE ONLY". He then grabbed the pen and wrote underneath "PER PERSON". He said that of course we need apple AND pumpkin and that he was just throwing in the strawberry rhubarb because it's my favorite.

I suppose there's no reason that JR should have the final word about the pies, but I did end up ordering three. He tried to tack on a french silk at the last minute, but I shot that one down. So, if we look a bit chubbier the next time you see us, you'll know why.
