Happenings

I've had a pretty nice weekend. Friday night, JR and I picked up some Chipotle and settled in to watch the first season of Alias on dvd. The doorbell rang and my brother was there holding a stack of games. I said "You're early....a week early." It turned out that he and my SIL were confused about the date, but they ended up staying and we had a very fun evening playing rumikub and in a pickle.

Saturday, I did some shopping in the morning and got some good deals at Old Navy and Kohl's. Does any store have better sales than Kohl's? They make it really impossible to go in and not buy something. Later in the evening, JR and I had dinner with Jason and saw the movie "Knocked Up." It was both disgusting and funny, with more emotion than you might expect from that type of movie.

Today was a pretty lazy day. I managed to catch up on some episodes of Gray's Anatomy that I had missed. Then I met Jill, Holli, Jim and Amy for dinner at Hoggy's. I was able to give them a tour of the apartment before they headed back out of town.

All in all a good weekend. Of course I managed to avoid doing any actual housework, so I'm not sure if or when the apartment will ever be clean. I've been pretty lazy lately, so we may live in an ever increasing state of squalor until JR takes the bar and has time to look around and see how much filth has accumulated.
