Last week I promised that I'd have update(s) this week, so here we go. The main reason for the lack of blog posts (other than the move) is the fact that I started a new job last week. I'm the newest Sales & Research Assistant at Lancaster Pollard, an Investment Banking firm. There's a lot to say about the job, but I've been told I can eat dinner when I'm done with this, so I'm just going to say that the company is growing rapidly (two other people started yesterday, so I'm not the new person anymore), my position is new and basically involves providing assistance to four investment bankers by helping to refine their target lists and follow-up with potential clients, as well as coordinate their attendance and participation at certain trade show events.
I'm really excited about the job; I've never before worked for a growing organization. And more importantly, I think I'll actually be utilized. Which, of course, means bad things for the frequency of blog updates. The one downside is that the office is located downtown, so I'm forced to cram myself into the commuter traffic. Despite that, everything is off to a good start, and I'm really impressed by the caliber of my coworkers.
That's all for now, but of course I have lots more to catch you up on, so I hope to get another post out soon. So, you can stop snarfing, Jason!
